Full Job Description
Physical Education/Health Teacher (K-8)

Golden Door Charter School is seeking a certified, qualified individual to instruct students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade in Physical Education and Health Education. This PE/Health Teacher must be an organized self-starter who will be responsible to continue an already strong and established Physical Education and Health program. This individual also needs to possess strong knowledge in classroom management skills and pedagogy. After school responsibilities may include intramural sports (with additional compensation).

A New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) Teacher of Health and Physical Education is required.

Candidate must successfully complete required criminal history check/fingerprinting and have proof of eligibility to work in U.S.

This position is for the 2026-2027 school year.
  • Instruction will begin on 9/1/26 with the expectation to attend the New Hire Orientation and the Teacher Professional Development (PD) week which is scheduled on 8/24/26 through 8/28/26, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm.

This position offers a salary range of $63,695 - $101,000 per the school's Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with experience and degree considered.
