Job DescriptionPosition Description:Our people division is growing, and we are looking for Superintendent Reliability at our mine site. The Superintendent, Reliability will lead a team to safely achieve Process and Mobile maintenance targets and objectives. Provides technical and analytical leadership across the areas of oversight to enable safe, predictable, stable and effective mining operations.
Responsibilities:As a Superintendent Reliability, you will be responsible for:
- Provide visible felt leadership during interaction with other team members and as a salaried staff representative in support of and demonstrating the NGM - DNA (Core Values)
- Implement various operational and maintenance alternatives to leverage improved availability, throughput and metal recovery
- Identify equipment defects and set priorities on opportunities for reliability improvement, by mining information using reliability databases and inputs from various sources.
- Coach Reliability Team on statistical analysis to assess performance through reliability, maintainability, and availability
- Provide training and facilitation on root cause failure analysis (RCA), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) with maintenance and operations personnel
- Lead a team to develop and implement Maintenance Procedures, Standards and Specifications focused on sustaining a reliability-culture
- Cultivate productive partnerships with key vendors/OEM's that drive improvement in equipment
- Lead a team who maintain and validate downtime reporting databases and KPI's
- Identify, scope and evaluate reliability improvement projects
- Proficiently utilize maintenance operating system to record and report out on maintenance activity in a continuous improvement strategy
- Drive continuous improvement in the maintenance division and help foster the culture to ensure its longevity
Qualifications:- Ten (10) years' experience in fixed plant maintenance, reliability, or other industrial maintenance in progressively responsible positions
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience supervising and directing people to achieve results
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Metallurgy, Minerals/Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related degree required
- Five to ten (5 - 10) years' Fixed Plant experience in Maintenance required
- Milling experience in crushing, grinding, classification and reliability centered maintenance preferred
- Mobile Maintenance experience would be considered an asset
- Project management experience preferred
- Several years' experience in a gold mining operation preferred
- Advanced skills in utilizing SAP/CMMS, Microsoft Office programs included Excel, Work and PowerPoint required
- Ability to work in a team environment and excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required
