Job Summary
Manage day to day operations of pharmacy, supervising staff, maintaining workflow, and providing leadership within the pharmacy. Demonstrates ongoing growth and development of self through active self-reflection, personal competency development strategies, and role modeling the "Grow myself, grow my team, and grow Monument Health (G3) Leadership Competencies" to promote our Monument Health vision and mission.

Job Description

Essential Functions:
  • Accurately, safely, efficiently dispenses the correct medication in accordance with the practitioners order and in compliance with all policies, regulations and laws.
  • Counsels all patients receiving new medication therapy, providing pertinent information that will help to ensure patient compliance.
  • Initiates or arranges for follow-up of medication dispensing and supply ordering questions.
  • Maintains accurate and complete controlled substance record keeping.
  • Monitors drug therapy regimens for contraindications, therapeutic duplications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, drug-disease interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug and dose.
  • Assists leadership in effective fiscal management of the department as evidenced by observation and feedback.
  • Organize and maintain efficient workflow within pharmacy.
  • Participate in interview and evaluation process for clinical staff.
  • Responsible for pharmacist and technician staff scheduling.
  • Coordinates new and ongoing training of pharmacy staff.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Additional Requirements

Required:
Education - Bachelors degree in Pharmacy
Certification - Pharmacist License - Accredited University or accredited training professionals

Preferred:
Experience - 1+ years of Leadership Experience; 1+ years of Pharmaceutical Experience

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
