Job Description:

  • AdventHealth Altamonte Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Pharmacy at 894 E Altamonte Dr, Altamonte Springs, FL, 32701. HEMATOLOGY/ONCOLOGY INFUSION CENTER
  • SHIFT: PHARMACY IS OPEN M-F Shifts may vary from 6:30am-3pm, 7am-3:30pm, 7:30am-4pm and 8am-4:30pm. On Monday & Tuesday we have extended hours and have a 9:30am-6pm shift these two days
  • As a leader, this person would need to be available across all shifts to support staff and in case of a facility emergency.

  • Assists with preparation of an annual budget and manages the designing and implementation of stewardship, cost control, and restriction/surveillance programs. Creates Return on Investment (ROI) proposals to justify operational programs, capital resources, and new resource needs. Evaluates and analyzes procedures that will result in improved medication utilization, optimized patient outcomes, and streamlined pharmacy processes.
  • Proactively uses data analysis techniques to track, monitor, and communicate the operational, clinical quality, and financial outcomes of assigned areas.
  • Provides support for system audits and data validation.
  • Coordinates and directs pharmacy programs and operations in assigned areas with Director of Pharmacy to ensure pharmacy services and distribution systems are aligned with evidence-based best practices.
  • Monitors operational performance, patient care services, cost containment activities, and budgetary performance via innovative objective parameters.
  • Facilitates pharmacy operations to optimize medication utilization, manages pharmacy supply chains and inventory processes, and coordinates effective medication cost containment initiatives. Assumes all delegations and responsibilities necessary to ensure program continuity and overall functionality of the pharmacy department.
  • Leads recruitment, interviews, and hiring processes for staff in assigned areas. Other duties as assigned.
