Job DescriptionThe Drug Use Policy (DUP) Pharmacist Coordinator plays a key role in shaping medication policies, optimizing drug therapies, and ensuring safe and effective patient care at Cedars-Sinai. The DUP pharmacist is involved in developing content for Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee; initiatives may include evaluating new drugs for formulary, developing evidence-based guidelines in conjunction with medical staff, and strategic planning of policies/processes for improving efficiency. Additionally, the DUP team serves as gatekeepers for high cost/risk medications and drug information resource for medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff on complex therapeutic issues.
This position has a flexible hybrid opportunity (up to 50% remote) and inpatient staffing (1 weekend per month) requirement.

QualificationsEducational Requirements:- Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy in the USA
- Completion of a PGY1 residency or equivalent practice experience. PGY2 in Drug Use Policy or Drug Information is preferred
License/Certification/Registration Requirements:- Current pharmacist licensure in the State of California.
- BLS certification upon hire

- Possesses ability to evaluate implications for the use of automated information systems with the development of clinical initiatives.
