Join our team as a day-shift, full-time, Pharmacy Operations Manager in Pocatello, ID.
Responsibilities
- The pharmacy operations manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department and providing pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist, as needed.
- This includes inventory management, staff oversight, policy and procedure development, and education within the pharmacy.
- In addition, the operations manager should provide support, mentoring, and oversight of the activities of the clinical pharmacists and supportive personnel on staff.
- The operations manager shall also assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- B.S. or PharmD. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- 5+ years of hospital pharmacy experience (inclusive of related leadership experience).
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
- Other applicable state requirements - i.e., sterile compounding, etc.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Experience working in Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Record Systems.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
- 1 year as a pharmacy operations specialist.
- Hospital Pharmacy Management experience.
- ALS/ACLS certification.
