SUMMARYThe mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. Pharmacy manager is responsible for all pharmacy operations, must be a licensed staff pharmacist.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Pharmacy operations, safety, and sanitation
- All staff Pharmacist responsibilities
- Insure proper rotation of medications on a monthly basis while following proper procedure for discarded and recalled medications
- Enforce customer privacy policies while keeping all customer information up to date and accurate
- Achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense
- Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of prescriptions
- Select, train, develop and schedule all pharmacy associates
- Communicate regularly with all pharmacy associates in order to keep them up to date with relevant information
- Complete all necessary paperwork and billing relating to Pharmacy Department
- Maintain security of all controlled substances
- Maintain adequate supplies, place orders when needed
- Process orders to include filling prescriptions and accepting payment
- Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Must be at least 18 years of age
- State Licensed Pharmacist
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- Required education to be a State Licensed Pharmacist
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
- Possess basic computer skills
- Possess strong communication skills
