Join Meijer as we prepare to open our newest supercenter in Glen Carbon/Edwardsville, IL. serving the greater St. Louis Metro Area, in Spring 2027. This is a unique opportunity to help launch a brand-new store, continue build your career with Meijer and make a lasting impact in a new community from day one. We are seeking an engaged Pharmacy Team Leader for our new location! Our Pharmacy Team Leader will plan, direct and supervise team members in the day to day operations of the Pharmacy. Duties include, but are not limited to: technician hiring, filling prescriptions accurately, staff training, financial management, inventory control, scheduling, providing great friendly service, team building, clinical services, patient safety, and pharmacy adherence to all corporate policies, federal and state legal policies. What You'll be Doing: 3 Responsible for staffing selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs. 3 Prepares and conducts performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians. 3 Documents and applies disciplinary actions. 3 Fills prescriptions safely and accurately. 3 Implements and executes pharmacy programs, including financial results, clinical services, labor, inventory, stock loss, security, patient services, and profitability of the pharmacy. 3 Educates and mentors pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to be effective team members. 3 Motivates team members to perform to their highest level. 3 Holds team members accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and has a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business. 3 Strong leadership and development capabilities. 3 Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures, as well as state and federal laws. 3 Performs and oversees (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations. 3 Effective communication skills with the ability to prioritize workload. 3 This job profile is not meant to be all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position; may perform other duties as assigned or required. What You Bring With You (Qualifications): 3 Bachelors Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy. 3 Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice. 3 Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana). 3 CPR Certification. 3 3 years of experience in retail/community practice. 3 One year management experience (preferred). 3 Working knowledge of pharmacy system, working knowledge of policies and procedures, understanding of regulatory in the state the unit operates in. 3 Successful completion of all required certifications. The below pay rate for this position is consistent for all employees in this role at this location. $147,680.00 This flat rate is carefully determined based on the responsibilities of the role and current market trends. We regularly review and adjust this rate as needed to ensure it remains competitive and aligned with evolving market data, reflecting our ongoing commitment to supporting our team members and their contributions. Compensation for this position also includes incentive bonus opportunities that may vary based on individual and company performance. Specific details will be discussed during the hiring process.
