Job DescriptionPharmacy ManagerExciting opportunity to lead a health system-based retail pharmacy operation within IU Health Metro Region. This hospital-based retail pharmacy is located within IU Health West Hospital and supports the patient and employee needs for the growing campus in Avon, IN. In addition to overseeing daily operations and overall pharmacy performance, the Pharmacy Manager will work with pharmacy and hospital leadership to develop, implement, and enhance services to meet the unique needs of patients as well as patient care services provided within the facilities including Meds in Hand program to support transition of care for patients discharging. Additional ability to collaborate with peer pharmacy managers across the state through the IU Health Retail Pharmacy Network.
Oversees and coordinate the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy and its staff. Provides comprehensive medication-related care for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. Acts in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals in the responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Is responsible for assisting the pharmacy director with preparing and performing all activities involving the pharmacy and therapeutics committee. Assists the Director in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Will assists in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for inventory management and the ongoing financial performance of the pharmacy.
This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday day shift with availability to round to evenings and weekends. Retail experience is required and preference to individuals with previous leadership experience.

Candidate QualificationsCandidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
- Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist.
- Requires Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy prior to 2006.
- 5 - 7 years pharmacist experience is required.
- Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics.
- Management experience is preferred.
