DescriptionThe Pharmacy Manager is responsible and accountable for pharmacy clinical operations and the safe distribution of medication. The Pharmacy Manager must work collaboratively with the Center Medical Director, Nurse Manager, and Office Manager to provide safe, high-quality, effective, and efficient medical/pharmaceutical care. The Pharmacy Manager acts as a pharmaceutical resource to all clinical staff. They will promote safety and oversee the role of staff pharmacists responsible for drug control, labeling, and providing quality information on prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications, as well as maintaining 340B Compliance. The Pharmacy Manager receives general supervision from the Director of Pharmacy.
RequirementsEducation:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy is required.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) is preferred
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:- Maryland Board of Pharmacy licensure required
- License must be in good standing
Preferred Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:- Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification.
- Certified Immunizer certification.
Experience:- A minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy management is required.
