The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist – ICU/ED/Decentralized Hybrid serves as the primary pharmacy resource within the ICU at Euclid Hospital, delivering real-time, bedside clinical support in a high-acuity environment. This decentralized role partners closely with ICU physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy for complex emergent conditions. Responsibilities include responding to codes, trauma activations, and rapid responses, dosing and monitoring high-risk medications, supporting antimicrobial stewardship, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols. While primarily based in the ICU, this role also provides clinical support to the ED as needed, contributes to ED-focused initiatives and governance, and serves as a mentor to pharmacy residents and developing pharmacists. A caregiver in this position primarily works a decentralized ICU schedule on first shift, with standard hours of 8:00am. to 4:30pm. Weekend staffing is required every 6th to 8th weekend, with rotating shifts of 6:30am to 3:00pm, 8:30am to 4:00pm, or 1:00pm to 9:30pm. The role includes one holiday per year.
