Overview

CentraState Medical Center is currently seeking a Pharmacist to join its dynamic Pharmacy Department. This role is responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care and services to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in alignment with established professional standards. The Pharmacist also supports the Pharmacy Manager in overseeing daily departmental operations, ensuring safe and efficient processes.

Responsibilities
  • Operational
    • Processes (Reviews for appropriateness, Clarifies, Profiles, Verifies, and Dispenses) orders in a timely and accurate manner within established department standards.
    • Consistently demonstrates good aseptic technique and prepares sterile preparations in a timely and accurate manner within the USP 797 and USP 800 requirements.
  • Clinical
    • Performs Clinical Interventions based on P&T approved protocol and clinical / professional judgement.
    • Actively supplies drug information and or consultations to physicians, nurses, other allied health care professionals and patients.
  • Quality / Performance Improvement
    • Actively participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives in the department.
    • Assists the Lead Pharmacist and Manager with operational needs and projects.
  • Regulatory / Professional Standards
    • Complies with regulatory and professional standards.
    • Provides recommendations on improvement in this area.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required.
  • A minimum of one year of Hospital Experience preferred.
  • NJ Pharmacist license required.
  • Strong professional, organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team and patients. Proficiency in Word® and Excel®

Compensation Range: $50.00 - $85.00 per hour

The compensation above reflects the established range from CentraState Healthcare System (CSHS) for this position at the time the job was posted. CSHS considers many factors to determine compensation, including education, experience, skills, licenses, certification, and training. As such, team member compensation may fall outside this range.

Additionally, the compensation range reflects base salary and does not include extra shift rates or incentives tied to quality, productivity, etc., as applicable.
