Overview and Responsibilities

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. Required to have pharmacist licensed with extensive experience in pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance. In this position, you are responsible for providing active license information to the State Board of Pharmacy and holding the liability of Pharmacist in Charge for Rotech Healthcare.

  • Client is solely responsible for implementing any changes and maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Client my request Contractor to provide additional services but the Contractor is not obligated to perform any additional services until the services and additional fees are in writing and signed by the parties
  • Consultant will provide client with a report of any deficiencies and recommendations to achieve compliance
  • Locations will maintain the premises so that medical gasses remain secure and comply with applicable compendium monographs of official pharmacopoeias
  • Provide guidance, education and advice related to any findings in the quarterly audits
  • Review records of the special pharmacy permit for medical gasses not less than once each quarter, records will include patient prescriptions and delivery records for medical gasses
  • Review the policy and procedures manual that sets forth a detailed description of how the operation will comply with applicable federal, state or local laws or administrative regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Employment is contingent on

  • Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
  • Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process (when applicable for the position)
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Required Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree/Phar.D. Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy or successful completion of the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate qualification examination administered by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), required
  • Required to have a current pharmacist's license in good standing

  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information

  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Lift and carry office equipment at times
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking or listening
