Overview

Shifts Available: Nights

Employment Type:Full Time

Hours: 8 Hour Shifts 10pm-6:15am

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center, Riverdale, GA

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient interviews to obtainaccurateand complete medication histories during admission or transition of care
  • Review and verify physician medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, route of administration, frequency, and potential drug interactions
  • Ensure medication orderscomply withhospital protocols, clinical guidelines, and patient-specific factors (e.g., renal function, allergies, weight)
  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately, including IV admixtures, unit-dose medications, and controlled substances, following all safety and sterility protocols
  • Monitor medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations tooptimizetherapeutic outcomes and minimize adverse drug events
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient-specific medication plans
  • Coordinate daily operations within the pharmacy to ensure efficient medication distribution and inventory management
  • Deliver pharmaceutical care to a wide range of inpatient units, including 6GeneralMedicine/Surgery,Intensive Care Units (ICU),Obstetrics & Gynecology,Pediatrics,Emergency Department,Oncology,Perioperative Services,Geriatricsand other departments
Qualifications

Education and Work Experience
