Responsibilities
I. JOB SUMMARY:
• Provides safe, effective and efficient drug distribution, monitors patient's response to drug therapy, and provides reliable and relevant drug information to patients and health care professionals.
• Involved in business aspects to maintain a profitable company.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Seeing. Hearing. Speaking. Finger dexterity.
B. MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING:
• Infrequent: Push and Pull between 21-35 lbs.
• Occasional: Lift floor to waist between 21-35 lbs.

C. NON-MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING:
• Infrequent: N/A
• Occasional: Sit. Squat.
• Frequent: Twist.
• Constant: Stand. Walk. Stoop/Bend. Reach: shoulder level. Reach: above head.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Subjected to noise/vibration from air conditioner, printers, time stamp machines, etc.
• Exposure to chemo drugs and antibiotics and chemicals; dust, odors and cleaning/ disinfectant fumes.
• Work environment is fast paced, congested and may be stressful due to workload.
• Interacts with patients, nurses, physicians and the general public.
• Works on multiple tasks at the same time.
• May be exposed to communicable diseases.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION:
• Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Current Hawaii State license as a Pharmacist.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
C. EXPERIENCE:
Experience to demonstrate the following:
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and supporting/facilitating positive team interaction/development.
• Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.
• Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to act calmly and tactfully in stressful or confrontational situations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
