Responsibilities

Full Job Description
What You'll Do
  • Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for assigned patient care areas
  • Review and verify medication orders to ensure safe, accurate, and appropriate therapy
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with healthcare teams on patient care decisions
  • Complete pharmacotherapy consults and provide medication-related recommendations
  • Educate patients and caregivers on medication therapies and treatment plans
  • Respond to code blue events and other clinical emergencies as needed
  • Perform medication chart reviews to identify opportunities for optimization and improved outcomes
  • Support pharmacy operations through order verification, drug distribution, and IV room product verification
  • Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians during daily departmental operations
  • Contribute to medication safety, quality improvement, and process enhancement initiatives
  • Participate in department and hospital committees
  • Support the development of future pharmacy professionals through student precepting and mentoring opportunities
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in Indiana and Kentucky
  • Ability to obtain required licensure within 45 days of employment
  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based patient care
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Commitment to patient safety, service excellence, and continuous learning

Preferred:
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience
  • Advanced certifications such as BCPS, BCOP, or other relevant specialty credentials
