OverviewLooking to hire August 2026. Hybrid in our PGH office (Robinson). The Risk Evaluation & Mitigation Strategy (REMS) Pharmacist verifies patient and prescriber enrollment into the appropriate REMS program and ensures certain required conditions are met before processing the prescription. The pharmacist will provide patient clinical counseling before transferring the prescription to the fulfilling pharmacy. The pharmacist will be responsible for reporting any adverse events and any other clinical incidents that may arise.. The Pharmacist is expected to have a positive attitude and work well in a collaborative environment. All tasks and duties must be completed in compliance with HIPAA guidelines, State and Federal laws, pharmacy standard operating procedures, work instructions, and corporate policies. This is a hybrid position.
Responsibilities- Verify both the patient and prescriber are enrolled in the appropriate REMS program. Confirm all required conditions are met before reaching out to the patient for clinical counseling.

QualificationsEducation/Degree Requirements/Certifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D. Must have a valid Pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania that is in good standing. During the two (2) year reporting period, the Pharmacist completes state-required thirty (30) continuing education (CE) credits approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)
Experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacist in a mail order, retail, or specialty pharmacy
- REMS experience is required
Knowledge/Skills
- Experience and knowledge with in-depth patient counseling
- Knowledge of pharmacy software, Microsoft Office (WORD, Outlook, and Excel), and navigating the Internet
- Mathematical skills with the ability to apply concepts of basic arithmetic, conversions, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
- Possess clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical aptitude with proven ability to work within multiple software, technology systems, and online resources
