The Pharmacist reports directly to the Pharmacy Director, collaborating closely with other members of the pharmacy team, including pharmacy technicians and pharmacy students. The Pharmacist will be involved in every facet of Pharmacy operations, from order entry using the Paragon software system to maintaining inventory and preparing sterile and non-sterile compounds, including chemotherapy. Responsibilities include clinical duties such as chart reviews, medication reconciliation, patient education, pharmacokinetic dosing, and managing technician staff when needed. Additionally, the role involves precepting pharmacy students and counseling patients on medications at discharge. The successful candidate will participate in a rotation of weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts.
