How you'll make an impact in this role- Review and verify medication orders to ensure appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and safe delivery to patients.
- Identify and resolve potential medication-related concerns by collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team.
- Prepare, compound, and dispense medications accurately to support timely and effective patient treatment.
- Provide drug information and patient counseling to promote medication safety, understanding, and adherence.
- Guide pharmacy technicians and support pharmacy learners to maintain efficient operations, quality standards, and professional development.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
Education:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
