After Hours Pharmacist to join our Oakville team. Under the general direction of the Designated Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while providing pharmaceutical patient care ensuring the highest level of therapeutic appropriateness for patients. The Staff Pharmacist responds to a multitude of scenarios including, but not limited to: Verifying safe and appropriate medication administration, assessing and dispensing critical medications, rapidly responding to palliative care prescriptions and arranging drug deliveries with our delivery team. #INDHP
Your Day to Day:- Collaboration with all members of the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, timely and completely.
- Receives verbal Rx orders and accurately reduces same to writing in adherence with local laws and regulations
- Lead and support the after hours team on the day to day tasks
- Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx pharmacy patients, other CareRx pharmacies and home partners.
- Communications with all members of the resident care team while maintaining professionalism by following corporate policies to always ensure the highest standard of customer care and quality of pharmacy service.
- Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations.
- Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations which govern the practice of pharmacy at all times.
- Follow all corporate regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Willingness to lead, take charge and offer opinions and direction
- Setting high standards of performance for self and others
- Participates in training and support of newly hired and existing pharmacy team members when required
- Any additional duties as required
What you bring to the team:- Currently licensed (Part A) and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Proven ability to foster strong partnership with other members of the health care team.
- Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
- Skilled in critical thought processes and ability to prioritize appropriately.
- Experience with Kroll software required
- Strong interpersonal skills required to interact with patients, co-workers and other health professionals
- Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to work independently
- Previous Long Term pharmacy experience is an asset but not required.

Compensation Range: $45 - $55/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate's credentials and experience.Location: This role will be on site at our Oakville pharmacy.
Opportunity: This is a current existing position and is a full time position.
Work Shifts/Hours: The work schedule is 3 days on followed by 4 days off then 4 days on followed by 3 days off. Shifts are from 2pm to Midnight (10 hour shifts)
