Full Job Description
We are currently hiring for a PET/CT Technologist at our New Hampshire facilities. Our PET/CT technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way. They show their technical competence by effectively interpreting physician orders/instructions and selecting appropriate software options and imaging parameters to produce the highest-quality PET/CT images/studies possible—enabling physicians to diagnose with pinpoint accuracy and treat with confidence. And, because our techs work in a variety of environments—a freestanding outpatient center, a mobile coach, or a hospital-based/inpatient facility—their flexibility allows them to deliver the absolute best imaging care at any access point.     Specific duties include, but are not limited to:  3 Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc. and radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patients.  3 Produces high quality diagnostic images  3 Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists  3 Trains new technologists and/or PC's  3 Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).    Position Requirements:  3 0High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience0  3 Certification in Nuclear Medicine0by the NMTCB0or ARRT (N)00  3 State license,0as0required.00  3 CPR certification00 3 As applicable, valid state driver0s license.0 3 Ability to work at several locations0 3 Strong customer service skills.000 3 Organizational and multi-tasking skills.000 3 Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.0 Preferred:  3 0Associate's Degree0or Equivalent Experience0  3 1-2 years0experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies.    At Akumin, we invest in the well-being of our employees, so you can bring your best self to work each day.
