Job Summary:
Employee provides advice on the administration and management of the Command's Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Management Program. These duties include, but are not limited to, assist with the maintenance and implementation of Director, National Intelligence (DNI), Department of Defense (DoD), and USAF personnel security policies/directives. Employee assists with certification staff assistance visits. Employee assists with SCI facilities validation proceedings and temporary secure working areas. Employee generates concept validation, pre-construction, and accreditation packages. Employee advises on requests for tactical, semi-permanent and garrison SCIFs validation. Employee develops, evaluates, and monitors security procedures relative to the protection of SCI material. Employee helps investigate SCI security infractions and prepare reports of findings. Employee aids in directing/preparing SCIF construction specifications and security alarm/reaction plans based on Intelligence Community (IC) technical specifications for IC Directive 705 and DoDM 5105.21 Vols 1-3 requirements including: coordination and selection of intrusion detection alarm systems and other electrical/mechanical devices used in securing areas containing SCI; devising protection plans to provide maximum security based on risk management and cost effectiveness which will create minimum interference with organizational operations.
The contractor employee requires excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of AV/VTC; office automation hardware/computers, software (Microsoft operating systems) and network connections. AV/VTC DST must have expertise in scheduling VTC sessions on VTC bridges, hands-on experience with debugging the interoperation of VTC bridges and end points, as well as experience setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting AV/VTC equipment (displays, microphones, sound boards, network/computer equipment, etc.). AV/VTC DST tasks will include installing, configuring, and maintaining classified VTC endpoints; installing and configuring VTC applications/system software/upgrades; installing and configuring desktop/laptop computer operating systems and mission support software; troubleshooting and repairing hardware and network connectivity issues; removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines; and supporting AV requirements for Command events and ceremonies.
Required Experience:
Minimum 10 years hands-on personnel and information security experience (FSO/SSO) out of the last 12 years. Candidates must fully comprehend the duties of a Personnel/Information Security Advisor.
Experience for SCIF Accreditations, SCIF Oversight or experience with SCIF Policies and procedures.
Good working knowledge of SCIF Physical Security to be able to work on their own and have a good working knowledge of SCIF level Physical Security -- Such as putting together the SCIF Request documentation required to be sent to DIA and do Site Surveys (physical security surveys) to determine what it would take to SCIF an existing space in a building.
Desired:
Employee should have a bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of additional experience supporting Air Force and Special Operations Personnel and Information Security programs. Additional years of general experience in the fields of Personnel and Information Security is highly desired.
