Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal:

We are actively searching for a New York Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal that has a wealth of experience in both pre-litigation and litigation phases. Your role will be pivotal, requiring proficiency in legal software, excellent communication skills, and a knack for time management. Responsibilities:
  • Manage a high-volume plaintiff personal injury caseload during the litigation phase.
  • Draft litigation documents including pleadings, Bills of Particulars, discovery responses, authorizations, stipulations, motions, and other case-related filings.
  • Prepare, file, and serve legal documents through NYSCEF while ensuring compliance with New York court rules and filing deadlines.
  • Coordinate depositions, court conferences, independent medical examinations (IMEs), mediations, arbitrations, and other litigation-related proceedings.
  • Review, organize, and maintain medical records, medical billing, employment records, insurance documentation, and other case materials.
  • Prepare medical chronologies, deposition summaries, document indexes, and attorney case materials.
  • Monitor litigation deadlines, maintain accurate case calendars, and proactively follow up on outstanding discovery and case requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, courts, medical providers, expert witnesses, and court reporting services regarding case progression.
  • Organize electronic case files and ensure all litigation documents are accurately maintained within the firm's case management system.
  • Assist attorneys with case preparation for depositions, settlement conferences, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Perform additional litigation support responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal.
  • Proficiency in legal software such as Litify, eCourts, and legal databases.
  • Excellent written communication skills.

Compensation Range:

$80,000-$85,000 USD

Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
