Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist - Emergency Medicine (Permanent Placement)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist to join a growing, high-acuity pharmacy team. In this permanent, on-site role, you will be positioned at the forefront of patient care within a high-volume, 26-bed Emergency Department designated as a Level III Trauma Center. Serving over 36,000 emergency visits annually, you will play a vital role in executing critical pharmaceutical services, driving clinical safety initiatives, and shaping emergency medicine protocols.

Compensation & Position Highlights:

  • Salary Range: $112,500 - $153,000 / year (Base compensation structure dependent on experience)
  • Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent (On-Site)
  • Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 in dedicated relocation allowance available to assist with transition logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Pharmaceutical Care: Deliver real-time clinical support to the emergency medical team, managing precise medication selection, complex weight-based dosing, clinical monitoring, and bedside provider education.
  • Emergency Response Engagement: Actively participate as an essential care team member during emergency responses, including Code Blue events, trauma activations, and acute stroke alerts.
  • Protocol & Quality Development: Lead the collaborative design, clinical implementation, and auditing of Emergency Department-specific medication protocols and hospital-wide patient safety initiatives.
  • Clinical Mentorship & Precepting: Serve as an active preceptor and clinical educator for pharmacy students and residents, contributing directly to institutional clinical advancement.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Align fluidly with emergency physicians, trauma nurses, and mid-level practitioners to maximize therapeutic outcomes in urgent and emergent care scenarios.
  • Committee Representation: Represent the clinical pharmacy department on medical staff and hospital-wide safety committees to uphold clinical excellence.
