As a Perfusionist, you will play a critical role in supporting patients during complex cardiac procedures by managing cardiopulmonary bypass and other extracorporeal circulation technologies. You will be responsible for operating specialized equipment that temporarily supports or replaces heart and lung function, monitoring key physiologic parameters, and ensuring the safe and effective management of a patient's circulatory and cardiopulmonary systems throughout surgery.
Position Details:
- Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks
- 7am-3:30pm | Monday-Friday
- On call every 4th weekday and every 4th weekend | Rotating holidays
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $145,330 per year and increases with experience
- Salary range: $145,330-$222,289 per year
- Salary and salary range is based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's of Perfusion degree required
- Completion of Perfusion education accredited by the Accreditation Committee for Perfusion Education (AC-PE) in cooperation with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required.
- Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) required within 12 months.
- 3 years of experience as an actively practicing clinical perfusionist in a cardiothoracic surgical program is preferred.
- Must be a member in good standing of a qualified clinical perfusion society such as the American Society of Extracorporeal Technology (AmSECT), The American Academy of Cardiovascular Perfusion (AACP), or a state perfusion society such as the Minnesota Perfusion Society.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider card required per established policy.
To be eligible for the hiring bonus, you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previous employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.
To be eligible for relocation assistance, you must accept a full-time or part-time benefited position and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. You must currently reside more than 50 miles away from the St. Cloud Hospital and relocate to within 30 miles of it with 120 days of employment.
