Job DescriptionThe PRM will support the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive resource management program. The PRM will also be responsible for supporting the Resource Management Organization's Performance, Skills Management, Training & New Hire Onboarding programs specifically. This role will oversee resource planning and allocation efforts, ensuring the optimal utilization of staff and contractors across projects. Last, the role will be responsible for reporting on KPIs for the RMO as well as building and maintaining executive dashboards on RM and KPI results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Capacity and Utilization Management
- Monitor resource capacity and workload to ensure optimal utilization across the organization.
- Identify underutilized resources and redistribute them to maximize productivity.
- Anticipate future resource shortages or surpluses and make necessary adjustments.
- Skills Management and Development
- Maintain a skills inventory for team members and ensure alignment with project needs.
- Collaborate with HR to address skills gaps through training, hiring, or reskilling efforts.
- Ensure resources are placed on projects that utilize or develop their skill sets.
- Performance Management:
- Establish specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for individual resources aligned with the company's overall strategy and client projects.
- Regularly track progress towards goals through project updates, client feedback, and project reviews.
- Ensure constructive feedback is delivered to employees during projects and through formal reviews.
- Identify high-performing employees and providing opportunities for growth through mentorship, training, and career advancement paths.
- Conduct formal assessments of employee performance against set goals, including feedback from peers, clients, and supervisors.
- IMT Training:
- Confirm what HCM offers regarding training.
- Assess training needs and set objectives (e.g., role-based).
- Investigate and invest in training technology.
- Identify suitable training methods and develop effective training material.
- Evaluate and monitor training program on a recurring basis.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize resource management tools and data to provide insights on resource allocation, utilization, and team performance.
- Develop and present regular reports and dashboards for senior leadership on key resource metrics.
- Adjust resource allocation strategies based on data insights to optimize efficiency.
Required Qualifications: - Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Human Resources, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a resource manager in a consulting or services organization.
- Experience working with Human Resources, Project Managers and Team Leads on resource allocation and training strategies.
- Proven experience in building and scaling resource management processes.
- Strong familiarity with resource management tools and software.
- Expert reporting experience (e.g., ability to use complex Excel formulas)
