Who Are YouYou will be the first dedicated People team member based in our New York office. Our NYC office has approximately 20 employees.
That gives you a meaningful opportunity to shape how the People function shows up locally while also supporting one of the most important parts of the business: our Customer organization.
During your first 6-9 months, your primary client group will be the Customer organization, a team of approximately 80 people working primarily across Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto. Over time, your scope may expand into additional teams as our People Partner model grows.
You will work closely with managers, employees, and senior leaders to improve performance, strengthen management capability, identify team issues early, and make sure People programs are applied in a way that is useful rather than theoretical.
This is a hands-on partnership role. You will be expected to build trust, use judgment, and stay close to the work.
What You'll DoYou will help define what strong People partnership looks like at DealMaker: practical, direct, close to the business, and focused on helping managers lead well.
You will have the opportunity to build relationships from the ground up, become a trusted advisor to a major client group, and influence how the People Partner model evolves across the company.
You will also bring a local People presence to New York, helping strengthen connection, communication, and employee experience in one of DealMaker's growing offices.
