Job: You will be Parallel's first People Ops hire, which means you own everything from the employee lifecycle to the compliance infrastructure that lets us scale past the thresholds that matter. Rippling is already in place - your job isn't to implement systems, it's to run them well and build the layer of process and judgment on top that a growing company actually needs. You'll manage benefits administration, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, and compliance.
You: You've spent five or more years in People Ops, at least some of it at a startup where you were building things that didn't exist yet. You know employment law well enough to spot a compliance gap before it becomes a problem, and you've managed HRIS platforms - Rippling or something close - without treating them as an excuse not to think. You've handled sensitive employee matters with discretion and come out with trust intact. You're not waiting for a playbook and you don't need one handed to you - you write it.
