Position Overview

The Senior Workday HCM / HRIS Analyst serves as a key functional and technical partner to the People Operations and HR Technology teams. This role is responsible for optimizing, maintaining, and enhancing Workday HCM functionality across the organization. The Analyst provides advanced system troubleshooting, configuration support, data analysis, reporting, and serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for Workday functionality, including Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, Security, Payroll, Reporting, and Business Process configuration.

This position also supports cross-functional HR operations by ensuring data integrity, improving system efficiency, and developing scalable processes that enhance employee experience.

Essential Job Functions

Workday System Configuration & Support
  • Manage, configure, test, and maintain Workday HCM business processes, objects, condition rules, notifications, EIBs, Workday security roles, and system configurations at an advanced level.
  • Troubleshoot complex Workday issues
  • Lead functional testing for Workday bi-annual releases, identifying system impacts and recommending enhancements.
  • Maintain system documentation, process maps, configuration logs, and training materials.

HR Data & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain advanced Workday reports (including calculated fields, custom reports, matrix reports, dashboards, discovery boards).
  • Conduct data audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and system integrity.
  • Support data governance initiatives and maintain compliance with internal controls and HR policies.

HR Operations & Cross-Functional Support
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Talent, and Compliance teams to support Workday-enabled processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of mass data loads using EIBs.
  • Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities using Workday functionality.
  • Support implementation of new Workday modules or enhancements (e.g., Recruiting, Talent, Time, Compensation).

Employee & Leader Support
  • Serve as SME for Workday inquiries from HR partners and business leaders.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions, job aids, communication materials, and user guides.
  • Participate in project teams by providing system insights, requirements gathering, testing, and deployment activities.

Project Management
  • Lead medium-to-large-scale Workday enhancement initiatives.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple requests through the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
  • Deliver on cross-functional HR technology projects according to established timelines and metrics.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 3+ years of hands on Workday HCM configuration experience (required).
  • Expertise in at least three Workday functional areas (e.g., Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, Reporting, Compensation, Security, Talent, Payroll).
  • Demonstrated experience using EIBs, calculated fields, advanced reporting, and HR data analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong understanding of HR operational workflows, compliance, and data governance.
  • Fluency in English, written and verbal.
