The OpportunityThe Regional People Lead, North America is responsible for leading and optimising People Operations across the region, ensuring consistent, compliant, and efficient delivery of employee lifecycle processes from onboarding to offboarding.
The role owns regional People Operations activities including policy and handbook management, employment documentation, reward operations support, People systems administration, reporting, and Employee Relations operational support.
Working closely with regional leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, the role drives operational excellence, maintains accurate and controlled People documentation, and supports continuous improvement across People Operations processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive and may evolve in line with business requirements, organizational changes, and the ongoing development of the People function.
Employee Lifecycle Operations- Maintain documented and standardised People Operations procedures
- Ensure operational activities are auditable, process-driven, and continuously improved through regular review and process optimisation.
- Own and manage the full employee lifecycle across North America, including onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding.
- Ensure all People Operations processes are compliant, accurate, and delivered to a high standard.
- Act as the escalation point for complex operational and employee matters.
Policies, Handbooks & Documentation- Own document control processes for People policies, handbooks, templates, and operational documentation.
- Ensure version control, review cycles, approval processes, and record retention standards are maintained across People documentation.
- Draft, review, and maintain regional People policies, employee handbooks, and operational documentation.
- Ensure policies and practices remain compliant with employment legislation and aligned with company standards.
- Own contractual documentation and oversee sensitive employee records with absolute confidentiality.
- Continuously improve documentation processes and governance standards.
People Systems & Process Improvement- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across People Operations processes and systems.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key People workflows.
- Improve and optimise People systems, workflows, and operational processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Drive best practices across People data management, reporting accuracy, and process governance.
Reward & Compensation Operations- Partner with Reward and Finance teams to support compensation reviews, benchmarking, payroll processes, and benefits administration.
- Lead operational delivery of performance and reward cycles, including HRIS updates, reporting, and data validation.
- Provide reporting and insights on compensation, attrition, and People metrics.
Employee Relations Support- Support the Business Partnering team with complex Employee Relations matters.
- Provide guidance on ER processes, documentation, and operational risk management.
Stakeholder Partnership- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across People, Finance, Reward, and Legal.
- Present People insights, operational updates, and recommendations to regional leadership.
- Influence decision-making through strong operational expertise, data, and stakeholder management.
What you will bringTechnical Expertise- Advanced knowledge of People Operations, employee lifecycle management, and HR administration.
- Strong experience drafting policies, handbooks, contracts, and People documentation.
- Strong understanding of compensation operations, performance cycles, and HR systems.
- Advanced Employee Relations knowledge and operational judgement.
- Strong analytical capability with experience producing People data and reporting.
Ownership & Delivery- Ensures consistent adherence to documented processes, quality standards, and operational controls.
- Supports a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and process excellence across People Operations.
- Trusted to independently manage critical People Operations deliverables and regional projects.
- Consistently delivers high-quality work with accuracy, pace, and attention to detail.
- Proactively identifies operational improvements and implements scalable solutions.
Collaboration & Communication- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Confident presenting People data and operational recommendations to senior leadership.
- Builds strong cross-functional partnerships and drives alignment across teams.
- Leads by example and contributes positively to team culture and collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience- Significant experience in People/HR Operations within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting North American employment processes and compliance requirements.
- Strong experience drafting and maintaining HR policies, handbooks, and employment documentation.
- Experience supporting Total rewards operations.
- Strong HRIS, reporting, and process improvement experience.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
