We9re expanding our People Business Partner team at Owner!

As a People Business Partner, you9ll be a key strategic partner to our Customer Success and Support leaders, helping scale an organization that delivers world-class customer service to thousands of restaurant owners. Customer Success is critical to our Mission and vision: our service role models are companies like Zappos and Apple, and we hold a very high bar for our teams9 performance.

In this role, you9ll align People strategy with business priorities, driving organizational effectiveness, performance, engagement, and growth. You9ll bring a proactive, systems-oriented approach to solving challenges-building frameworks, processes, and operating rhythms that help leaders scale their teams and improve how the organization operates.

As an embedded partner, you9ll serve as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders, helping them build high-performing teams, strengthen culture, and navigate change. At Owner, the People Business Partner role goes far beyond the 4traditional4 scope: you9ll operate much like a Chief of Staff for your business group.

The impact you will have
  • Strategic Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to Customer Success & Support leadership, aligning People strategy with business priorities and helping leaders scale high-performing teams through periods of rapid growth and change.
  • Organizational Effectiveness: Partner with leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, team structure, and operating models that improve efficiency, accountability, and business outcomes.
  • Talent & Team Growth: Partner with our Talent team to attract exceptional talent while developing retention and succession strategies that strengthen leadership bench strength and support long-term growth.
  • Leadership Coaching & Performance: Coach managers and leaders through performance management, talent decisions, and employee relations matters, fostering a culture of high standards, continuous feedback, and accountability.
  • Culture and Engagement: Champion initiatives that promote Owner9s values and drive positive workplace culture and employee engagement. Leverage employee feedback and organizational insights to continuously improve how we work.
  • People Analytics & Insights: Use data to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and influence decisions related to performance, retention, engagement, and organizational health. Translate insights into actionable recommendations for business leaders.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure People practices comply with applicable employment laws and regulations across our global workforce, balancing compliance with a practical, business-first approach.

Minimum requirements
  • Minimum of 5 + years of demonstrated experience in People Operations, with a focus on business partnership ideally within Customer Success & Support, preferably in a start-up environment and supporting a global workforce.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment with the agility and enthusiasm to adapt quickly, tackle diverse challenges, and contribute effectively to a high-energy team.
  • Proven Experience creating and implementing strategies that drive organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong Knowledge and understanding of local legislation as it relates the the U.S. and LATAM (Mexico & Colombia). Spanish speaking a big plus!
  • Expertise in organizational development, including a strong understanding of talent acquisition, employee engagement and performance management.
  • Excellent judgement and problem thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in HR tech stack (preferably Rippling HRIS & Lattice), with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and empower team members at all levels.
Pay and benefits
  • This role9s estimated base salary range is $155k - $175k USD / $155k - $175k CAD, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package.
