Position Summary:The People Business Partner is a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing day-to-day guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and People programs. The People Business Partner uses data and business insights to identify trends, solve problems, and influence decisions that support both employees and business objectives.
This is a full time, fixed term 12-month contract.In this role, you will be responsible for:- Partner with managers to provide coaching and guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational changes, and policy interpretation.
- Manage employee relations matters, including conducting investigations, resolving workplace issues, and partnering with Legal on complex or high-risk cases.
- Coach managers through performance management processes, including documentation, feedback, performance improvement planning, and difficult employee conversations.
- Execute and support core People programs, including performance reviews, talent initiatives, organizational planning, and other key People processes, while gathering feedback to continuously improve their effectiveness.
- Analyze people data and business insights to identify trends, surface risks, and develop actionable recommendations that improve the employee experience and support business outcomes.
- Partner with leaders to identify organizational challenges and recommend solutions that improve team effectiveness, engagement, and performance.
- Manage leave of absence and workplace accommodation requests, partnering with Legal, Total Rewards, and managers to ensure compliance and a positive employee experience.
- Advise managers on compensation-related decisions, including promotions, salary changes, internal mobility, and job architecture, ensuring alignment with company policies and practices.
- Partner closely with People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Payroll, and other Centers of Excellence to support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, internal mobility, and offboarding.
- Develop and facilitate training for managers and employees on People programs, systems, and best practices.
- Support organizational changes through effective communication, change management, and manager enablement.
About you - 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or in a related Human Resources role.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing employee relations matters, conducting workplace investigations, and coaching managers through performance management and employee issues.
- Demonstrated ability to lead HR initiatives or process improvements from planning through implementation.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience using people data and business insights to identify trends and develop recommendations.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to navigate complex and sensitive employee matters with professionalism and integrity.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and collaborate effectively across the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Base Salary Range: $84,000 - $105,000 CAD annually.

Final compensation will be determined through individual assessment of experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-relevant factors.
