Mayo Clinic is seeking a board certified / board eligible pediatric hematologist to join our growing team! Mayo Clinic is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and a federally designated Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center with 11 pediatric hematologist/oncologists, nine nurse practitioners, and eight specialty nurses. While the division provides comprehensive care across the full spectrum of pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions, this role is specifically focused on non-malignant, classical pediatric hematology.

Our non-malignant hematology program provides multidisciplinary, longitudinal care for children with inherited and acquired blood disorders, with particular strengths in bleeding. and clotting, and bone marrow failure disorders. As a Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center, we deliver integrated care for patients with hemophilia and other congenital bleeding disorders, including access to a specialized lab for state-of-the-art testing, specialized nursing, physical therapy, social work, and care coordination services. In addition, our Vascular Malformation Clinic brings together hematology, interventional radiology, surgery, genetics, dermatology, and other specialties to provide coordinated evaluation and management of complex vascular anomalies.

This position is dedicated to the outpatient and inpatient care of children with non-malignant hematologic conditions within a highly collaborative practice. All physicians in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology share responsibility for the inpatient care of children with blood disorders, cancer, and those undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation at Mayo Clinic Hospital, while maintaining defined areas of clinical focus. The successful candidate will also contribute to the division's educational mission through teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Dedicated career development time is built into the position to support scholarly activity, professional growth, and leadership development.

Beyond clinical care, the ideal candidate will engage in clinical research and collaborate with institutional discovery and translational efforts related to non-malignant hematology, bleeding disorders, and vascular anomalies. Academic rank in the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine will be granted commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

Candidates must be board certified / board eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics and be licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Minnesota. Specialized training in non-malignant hematology is encouraged. Applications should include a CV/Bibliography and Cover Letter.
