JOB SPECIFICS
  • Full-time Pediatric General Surgery opportunity at Children's Hospital of Illinois, the only full-service children's hospital outside of Chicago.
  • Join a collaborative team of four pediatric surgeons within a growing health system committed to expanding pediatric specialty care and multidisciplinary programs.
  • Large built-in referral network supported by a pediatric physician program, providing immediate access to a stable patient population.
  • Balanced practice consisting of outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, shared call responsibilities, and a broad spectrum of pediatric surgical cases ranging from index procedures to complex minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgeries.
  • Dedicated block operating room time with an experienced pediatric surgical team and comprehensive support resources.
  • State-of-the-art ambulatory care building opening in 2027, designed to enhance surgical, procedural, and multidisciplinary pediatric care.

  • Full-time, clinical base salary pay range for this position: $698,000 - $717,000
    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
  • Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
  • Must be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Surgery; be eligible for an Illinois license.
  • Must have strong teaching abilities and interest in clinical research.
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
