SummaryThe successful candidate will perform and interpret advanced noninvasive imaging studies while sharing in general pediatric cardiology care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The role blends focused imaging responsibilities with the teaching and scholarly opportunities of an academic faculty appointment and offers the chance to help shape and grow the noninvasive imaging program.

Job Duties- Provide patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings at CHRISTUS Children's, including coverage of the echocardiography service.
- Perform and interpret advanced noninvasive imaging studies (e.g., transthoracic, transesophageal, and-depending on training and expertise-fetal and cross-sectional imaging).
- Participate in general pediatric cardiology inpatient consult service and outpatient clinic, including call coverage as scheduled.
- Provide direct clinical supervision and teaching of medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees (e.g., nursing, dietary, and pharmacy students) who observe the physician in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Engage, as interest allows, in scholarly activity, quality improvement, and clinical research within the division.
Minimum Qualifications- M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
- Fellowship training in Noninvasive Imaging or Advanced Cardiac Imaging preferred or equivalent clinical experience.
- Board certification in General Pediatrics with subspecialty certification in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same).
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same).
- 3-5 years of related experience.
- Leadership experience, Preferred.
- Clinical or scholarly interest in program development, quality improvement, or research, Preferred.
