Position Title: PdM CSSE Logistics Analyst
Reports To: Program Manager / Logistics Lead
Location: Onsite - Stafford, VA (Government Site)
Position SummaryThe PdM CSSE Logistics Analyst provides comprehensive acquisition and sustainment logistics support to Government logistics leads in support of Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) programs. This role is responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining logistics documentation, supporting program readiness assessments, and applying Integrated Product Support (IPS) principles across the system lifecycle of various Acquisition Category (ACAT) programs.
The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of Department of the Navy (DON) and USMC acquisition logistics processes, strong analytical skills, and experience supporting ACAT programs in a dynamic operational environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLogistics Documentation & Acquisition Support- Develop, review, and update acquisition logistics documentation, including but not limited to:
- Lifecycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs)
- Independent Logistics Assessments (ILAs)
- Fielding Plans
- Item Unique Identification (IUID) Implementation Plans
- Manage Materials:
- Corrosion Prevention and Control Plans
- Facilities Impact Reports (FIRs)
- Stock List-3 (SL-3) documentation
- Technical Manuals and equipment instructions
- Disposal plans
- Provide edits, recommendations, and coordination support for all logistics documentation deliverables to support Government assessment activities.
- Participate in meetings, briefings, and working groups to communicate status and provide expert input.
Integrated Product Support (IPS) & Logistics Analysis- Apply knowledge of the 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to logistics planning and sustainment activities
- Support and contribute to Independent Logistics Assessments (ILAs) in accordance with SECNAVINST 4105.1C.
- Conduct logistics analysis including:
- Supply chain management execution
- Sparing levels, reorder points
- Just-in-Time (JIT) processes
- Total Quality Management (TQM).
- Support new and legacy system sustainment planning and lifecycle logistics integration
Systems & Data ManagementUtilize and maintain access to logistics and enterprise systems, including:
- Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS)
- Logistics Data & Analytics Reporting Tool (L-DART)
- Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC)
- MARCORSYSCOM VIPER portal
- DLA Logistics Information Services / Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS)
- USMC Logway
- SIPRNet / Intel Link
- Analyze logistics data and generate actionable insights to support program decisions.
Readiness & Sustainment Analysis- Analyze supply and maintenance readiness for managed equipment to develop comprehensive program readiness assessments.
- Evaluate historical logistics data to identify readiness issues and recommend corrective actions or changes.
- Propose logistics changes aimed at reducing total ownership costs and improving overall material readiness.
- Review Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) plans, Material Readiness Reports, and Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) recommendation letters.
- Evaluate Maintenance Task Analyses (MTA), Tracking Exchange of equipment, Marine Control Audits, and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) products.
Technical Manuals & FRACAS Support- Provide continuous support to the development, review, and updating of Technical Manuals as required by the Government.
- Review and monitor, Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
- Analyze and deliver FRACAS data in the form of a quarterly FRACAS Report containing insights and recommendations.
Training & Fielding Support- Develop and maintain training materials for New Equipment Training (NET) using Systems Approach to Training (SAT) methodology, including:
- Programs of Instruction (POIs)
- Lesson plans and instructor guides
- Student materials and training aids
- Support training delivery to Marine Forces, including travel to MEF and deployment locations
- Develop interactive and computer-based training solutions as required
Inventory & Property Accountability Support- Support Property Custodians (PC) and Responsible Individuals (RI) with:
- Custodian Asset Reports (CAR)
- Consolidated Memorandum of Record (CMR) reconciliation
- Assist with inventory planning, execution, and discrepancy resolution
- Conduct data consolidation, onsite inventory assessments, and variance analysis
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in DoD acquisition logistics or sustainment support
- Experience supporting Marine Corps or Navy logistics programs preferred
- Active Secret Clearance (required)
- Working knowledge of ACAT programs and acquisition lifecycle processes
- Experience with logistics systems such as GCSS-MC, L-DART, or TFSMS
Preferred Characteristics- Strong understanding of Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements
- Experience with SECNAV logistics policies and ILA processes
- Familiarity with MARCORSYSCOM logistics and sustainment practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience supporting training development (SAT/NET)
- Willingness to travel to operational locations
