The Leo Electronic Supply Chain team is looking for a Global Category Sourcing Manager to support business and engineering stakeholders in selecting, developing and managing business relationships with critical Printed Circuit Board Assembly suppliers and PCBA Component suppliers as needed to execute on Amazon Leo objectives.
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record at executing strategy, negotiating master agreements and statements of work, and managing supplier performance. Experience working in new and ambiguous environments while solving complex problems with a sense of urgency across a broad range of cross functional stakeholders will be an advantage.
• Use industry and relevant data analysis to create strategic sourcing plans that support internal customers meet their manufacturing and supply chain goals.
• Work with a range of stakeholders including business leaders, engineering leaders, legal, program management, and supply chain to negotiate a variety of agreements and contracts including term sheets, MOUs, NDAs, SOWs, development agreements and purchase agreements.
• Analyze industry and technology trends to proactively identify opportunities to reduce cost, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and industry developments that benefit Amazon's customers
• Influence suppliers' manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations
• Independently prioritize projects and activities to deliver maximum cost reductions and reliable supply chain solutions.
• Manage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals
• Drive financial modeling of large and complex deals
• Evaluate and monitor financial health of critical suppliers
• Effectively lead cross-functional meetings with clear document writing, agenda creation, note capture and follow-up activity coordination
A day in the life
As the Category Sourcing Manager at Leo, you will be a key member of the supply chain team. Your primary responsibility will be working with our PCBA suppliers to support the Leo Constellation. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, planning, supply chain, finance, quality, and legal teams to ensure our suppliers can manufacture and deliver the required boards to meet our production needs. NOTE: this role requires domestic and international travel.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of related industry experience
- 2+ years of program, project or product management, or leading product implementation experience
- Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent
- Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
- 6+ years of experience selecting, developing and managing business relationships with critical Printed Circuit Board Assembly suppliers and PCBA Component suppliers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction
- Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners
- Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent)
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
