Job Title: PCB Design Engineer

Job Location: Melville, NY (100% onsite)

Salary: $100,000-$125,000/yr DOE

• Perform the detailed design of RF, analog and digital circuit card assemblies and printed circuit boards (PCBs) to meet industry standards.
• Review customers requirements with engineers to determine the practicability and feasibility relative to performance, cost, time, etc.
• Coordinate with engineers to establish the basic design approach on a project.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to engineers, designers and drafters in matters related to the final product design and in accordance with the established designed perimeters.
• Advise and coordinates cost reductions as related to design and fabrication.
• Provide liaison outside the company with suppliers to accomplish PCB design functions.
• Assist in proposal preparations relative to PCB design and drafting material cost, manpower hours, schedules, etc.
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining files including schematics, parts lists, assembly drawings and PCB routing drawings and reproductions and records necessary to the orderly operation of document control and design-drafting.

• Bachelors degree Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent and a minimum of 9 years prior experience or Masters degree and a minimum of 7 years prior experience.
• 5-10 years design experience
• Skills preferred: single layer/multi layer boards, surface mount technology, hybrid technology
• 5 years of electrical, mechanical, and/or electro-mechanical design experience of which a minimum of two years have been PCB design work on DC circuits and/or RF design work preferred.
• Costpoint, ERP systems, Microsoft Office proficiency. Mentor PADS and Logic or equivalent required. Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD a benefit.
