Job OverviewBee Sweet Citrus, Inc. is looking for an optimistic, committed, and motivated candidate who has at least 5 years of experience with citrus pest control. This job will require traveling from one ranch to another which will require a valid California driver's license with a clean DMV record.
Duties / ResponsibilitiesJob duties include but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for finding insects, diseases, weeds and other organisms along with implementing IPM programs and writing recommendations
- Monitor and scout fields for economic thresholds
- Evaluate chemical efficacy in fields
- Correctly use chemicals for maximum fruit quality
- Communicate with ranch managers to coordinate pesticide applications
- Comply with California Department of Pesticide Regulations
- Order chemicals and keep inventory up to date
- Manage field scouts
- Coordinate pest control operations
Required Skills / Abilities- Must have a clean driving record
- BS in Ag or plant science preferred
- Must be able to follow our Fleet Safety Program and Policies
- Valid PCA license
Physical Requirements- Employee is regularly required to walk, stand for periods of time at workstation, climb stairs, and reach with hands and arms
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in extreme cold, heat, or humidity; and sometimes can include work in dusty or muddy work conditions
Pay offered/ Benefits - $90,000 to $100,000 annually
