Role Overview:Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the Payroll Technician is responsible to prepare the salaried Ontario payroll for Island Gold Division.
Key Responsibilities:- Review salaried employees' timesheets and support supervisors in completing them
- Prepare payroll corrections, adjustments and bonus payments
- Review changes made to employees' payroll profile, including group benefit deductions
- Issue and amend records of employment
- Act like a resource person for all salaried payroll-related matters
- Assist the Paymaster on any payroll-related matters
- Create and prepare payroll-related reports
- Replace Payroll Clerk during vacation and absences
- Any other related duties
Qualifications:- College (Cégep) degree in accounting
- 5 years of experience in payroll
- Highly proficient in computer skills and technology
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in French and English
- Strong clerical, administrative and general office skills including attention to detail and rigor
- Excellent time management and organisational skills including ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
- Knowledge of UKG Pro is an asset
Working Conditions:- This position requires to sit in front of a computer for long hours at a time. Additional hours of work and working on Statutory Holidays may be needed from time to time in order to meet deadlines.

- Pay or shift range:$62,250 CADto$101,950 CAD
