As part of a truly international team, you will also have the opportunity to actively support and contribute to global payroll processes across our other worldwide locations (including our European markets).

What you'll do

  • Payroll Ownership: Lead semi-monthly payroll operations across the US and Canada using ADP TotalSource, TriNet, and local agencies-ensuring flawless execution from absence inputs and bonus payouts to GL mapping.
  • Systems Superuser: Serve as the main administrator for ADP TotalSource and BambooHR, maintaining strict data integrity and seamless system syncs.
  • Global Collaboration & Support: Work alongside our international People & Payroll teams to support global payroll processes, provide cross-coverage, and assist with operations across our European markets as needed.
  • Compliance & Regulation: Navigate FLSA classifications, I-9/E-Verify administration, multi-state leave laws, and local tax regulations to keep us compliant in an evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Benefits & Reporting: Manage 401(k) match administration, benefits reconciliations, and annual Canadian tax forms (e.g., T2200).
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Support various high-impact payroll and People Operations ad-hoc initiatives.

Who you are

  • Experienced: You bring 2+ years of hands-on payroll experience (ideally within ADP TotalSource or similar PEO environments) and are comfortable diving deep into system settings.
  • Industry Experience: You have prior experience working in the fast-paced AdTech, media, or digital content sectors, giving you a sharp understanding of our dynamic operational pace.
  • Global Mindset: You thrive in fast-paced, international environments and enjoy collaborating across time zones with HR and Finance teams to solve complex problems.
  • Compliance-Savvy: You have a firm grasp of US labor standards (FLSA, FMLA, multi-state laws) with specific knowledge of California payroll regulations, alongside familiarity with Canadian payroll nuances.
  • Data-Driven: Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data reconciliation) are second nature to you, backed by an uncompromising "zero-error" mindset when handling sensitive data.
  • People-Centric Communicator: You excel at breaking down complex payroll and benefits concepts into friendly, easy-to-understand explanations for employees.
  • Bonus Qualifications:
    • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
    • Direct experience with PEO (Professional Employer Organization) platforms and models.
