Title:Payroll Director
Job Description:Compensation: $140,000-$160,000 per yearJob OverviewThe Payroll Director will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of department in order to pay employees, as well as compile payroll information by managing payroll preparation, data integrity, data reports and compliant data maintenance.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the oversight of payroll department
- Proactive leadership and direction to ensure the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly and weekly payroll in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and company policy
- Manage payroll vendors and service providers
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal staff, other departments and with our operations team
- Ability to deliver results with cross functional teams and other departments
- Ability to identify and implement scalable solutions that improve services, business controls and employee satisfaction
- Lead and drive projects that improve department processes, tools and enable us to scale the business more effectively
- Understanding the business and initiate opportunities for improvement
- Maintain payroll staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment

Education and/ or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a four-year college or university with 10+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver's license.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesCarries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.
