Full Job Description
Location: US Remote

Reports To: VP of Total Rewards

Salary Range: $75,000-$95,000

Position Summary: The Payroll Associate handles day-to-day administration, support, testing, documentation, and data integrity for payroll, timekeeping, onboarding, compensation, and benefits particularly as they affect taxation withholdings, reporting and compliance. The role supports the Payroll and Compliance Manager in the US and will be involved in ad-hoc projects related to Payroll centralization and global expansion. This individual will play a key role in ensuring configuration changes reflect business needs, system issues are circumvented, data points are entered and maintained accurately, and complex, high-risk, or cross-functional matters are escalated timely to the VP, Total Rewards. Operates with strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and awareness of downstream impacts to payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing & Support
  • Administer UKG payroll modules with great visibility into compensation and benefits.
  • Suggest and co-author approved routine and intermediate configuration in the test environment.
  • Support system enhancements across US and Canada by observing and streamlining processes in both countries and creating efficiencies and redundancies.
  • Identify configuration issues, data inconsistencies, and process gaps, escalating high-impact matters appropriately.
  • Manage timecard approval processed by configuring and running appropriate UKG reports.
  • Verify that all timecards are reviewed and approved timely and accurately.
  • Interface with supervisors and managers if/when any timecards remain outstanding.

Data Integrity, Security & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate data; support validation, cleanup, reconciliation, and controls/data audits.
  • Maintain accurate desktop procedures and employee data/documentation.
  • Execute approved security changes with the security owner (no self-approval); follow access, privacy, retention, and cross-border (U.S./Canada) data standards.

Stakeholders & Projects
  • Partner with HR Operations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition
  • Complete assigned configuration, testing, documentation, and data tasks for projects, releases, growth, and compliance or acquisition-integration work.

Qualifications:

Required
  • 3+ years of relevant Payroll experience, or equivalent experience supporting HR technology, benefits, compensation, or timekeeping.
  • Hands-on system configuration, user support, testing, troubleshooting, and compliance.
  • Ability to handle confidential data with discretion; strong attention to detail; able to follow change-management and segregation-of-duties procedures.
  • Ability to manage priorities and provide timely support in a remote environment; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred
  • UKG Pro and/or UKG WFM configuration; UKG or other HR-technology certifications.
  • Applicant tracking, onboarding, learning, performance, compensation, benefits, or timekeeping systems.
  • Multi-state U.S. and/or Canadian payroll or employee-population support.
