Position Purpose:The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and organizational policies. The role supports the full employee lifecycle, maintains data integrity across HR and payroll systems, and provides responsive service to employees and stakeholders. The position also contributes to reporting, audit readiness, and continuous improvement of payroll processes.
What You Will Do: - Process full-cycle biweekly payroll, including regular pay, adjustments, and statutory deductions.
- Review and validate employee data in HRIS systems to ensure accuracy and completeness. Run employee data validation reports.
- Process payroll-related transactions for hires, terminations, and job changes, ensuring all employee data changes are accurately reflected in payroll systems and processed in a timely and compliant manner.
- Process payroll impacts related to leaves of absence and other adjustments.
- Prepare and reconcile year-end payroll activities, including T4s and statutory reporting.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies through analysis and stakeholder coordination.
- Prepare and maintain payroll reports for stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records to support audit and compliance requirements.
- Provide timely responses to payroll inquiries from employees and stakeholders.
- Support system updates, testing, and improvements to payroll processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
Who You Are: - College diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline an asset.
- PCP designation from the National Payroll Institute (required).
- 5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation including ESA, CPP, EI, CRA regulations, and Employer Health Tax.
- Experience with payroll systems such as Dayforce or similar applications.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Working knowledge of benefits and pension administration.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to analyze and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

We offer a competitive hiring range of
$90,100 to $104,000 (
P4 level), pay will align with skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate.
