This position's responsibilities would include drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in the mechanical engineering fields, drafting and reviewing intellectual property and technology related agreements and licenses, and providing patentability, freedom to operate, and due diligence assessments.
Qualifications - Juris Doctor, higher degree, or equivalent in Law
- 7+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution in the mechanical arts.
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar engineering degree and/or work experience
- Excellent academic credentials and excellent research, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.
- Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task efficiently and be an independent thinker.
- U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration.
- Licensed to practice law in Arizona.

Our attorney compensation structure has two components: (1) a base salary and (2) a discretionary merit bonus based on performance. The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000. The salary range for this position is based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. The range is provided as an initial approximation at the time of posting and may vary based on the individual's unique qualifications and experience.
