Full Job Description
Our Automotive Parts Manager ensures a profitable return on dealer capital invested parts inventory. The ideal candidate will excel in purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff management, and security measures. Key responsibilities include optimizing pricing strategies, effective merchandising and enhancing product displays. The Parts Manager will also drive advertising efforts to boost sales and profitability.

Automotive Parts Manager Compensation and Benefits:

Automotive Parts Manager Starting Salary: Monthly expected pay $15,000k+

$3000 per month salary plus 7.0% commission based on department net and 1.0% commission based on department gross.

Automotive Parts Manager Responsibilities:
  • Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts, and the do-it-yourself public.
  • Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover.
  • Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence.
  • Ensures that all parts are properly tagged so that the dealership recovers full credit from the factory.
  • Supervises stock order procedures.
  • Analyzes sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
  • Ensures that the same high-quality level of service provided to outside customers is also provided to internal dealership customers.
  • Works with the service manager and body shop manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.


Parts Manager Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills (including listening, speaking).
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Physical ability to use computer hardware/software.
  • Proven ability to supervise.
  • Ability to actively participate in team development and processes while motivating others to do the same.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Basic knowledge of dealership operations.
  • Previous dealership experience.
  • Experience with managing an inventory above $1mm
  • 5+ years Stellantis experience
  • Experience managing wholesale and ecommerce business
