A Snapshot of Your Day The Parts Application Engineer role is accountable for developing a regional parts sales strategy and driving parts sales to meet business targets in RNA (Region North America). The candidate will support the regional Sales teams by identifying and developing parts opportunities and proposals. This customer facing role will work directly with regional service unit and customers to develop parts programs to support operation and maintenance of their equipment. The role will involve support of customer meetings which entails travel within the region. This role reports to the Global Head of Parts Engineering.
How You'll Make an Impact - Provide in-region technical and sales support to Sales Managers. Pursue parts sales and develop sales strategies to win orders.
- Support region in identifying new opportunities to sell parts
- Lead on-site customer conferences, planning maintenance and major parts projects, with support of regional sales team.
- Define spare parts priorities of regional sales and AGT Services (Customer Order Administrators, Parts Definers, Buyers)
- Drive internal support from engineering, purchasing, supply chain, and COAs to generate customer parts quotes, technical information, and execute projects.
- Prepare appropriate project cost, pricing and margin analysis, project and business risk analysis, bid approval documentation.
What You Bring (requirements) - Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Previous experience in managing projects, and experience in customer/region facing roles
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all organizational levels
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
