Overview

Ready to shape the future of science and global health? A global nonprofit that provides trusted biological materials for science and health, ATCC is hiring a Partnerships Manager. This remote role supports ATCC's commercial strategy, scientific mission, and growth priorities through business development, strategic partnerships, and related activities. Working cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Science, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders, the Partnerships Manager identifies, evaluates, and advances partnership and growth opportunities while supporting diligence, valuation, negotiations, governance, and implementation activities.

 

We are seeking a Partnerships Manager, ideally with business development or strategic partnerships experience and experience supporting life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, technology, academic, or research environments. Responsibilities
  • Business Development & Partner Identification: Research, identify, qualify, and engage prospective partners aligned with commercial strategy and portfolio priorities.
  • Market & Opportunity Assessment: Conduct market research, competitive analyses, strategic-fit evaluations, business case development, financial modeling, valuation analyses, and risk assessments.
  • Cross-Functional Diligence: Coordinate scientific, commercial, financial, operational, legal, licensing, quality, and technology evaluations for partnerships.
  • Negotiations & Partnership Support: Support partner discussions, negotiations, term-sheet development, opportunity planning, and execution activities across partnership initiatives.
  • Strategic Partnership Opportunities: Evaluate licensing, investment, joint venture, and related partnership opportunities while supporting diligence, valuation, recommendation development, and implementation planning.
  • Pipeline & Relationship Management: Maintain partnership pipelines, reporting, governance activities, performance tracking, and status communications while identifying process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years' experience, including 0-2 years' supervisory experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting business development, strategic partnerships, licensing, or related growth initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct market research, competitive analyses, strategic assessments, business case development, financial modeling, valuation analyses, and risk assessments.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional diligence activities involving commercial, financial, scientific, operational, legal, licensing, quality, or technology stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building, presentation, proposal development, negotiation support, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, opportunity pipelines, timelines, dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting.
  • Scientific fluency with biological products, technologies, data, or related life sciences concepts.
  • Ability to represent an organization professionally in external meetings, conferences, and industry forums.
Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $125,000-$165,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
