Full Job Description
RubinBrown is seeking an experienced Assurance Services Partner to join our nationally recognized Real Estate Services Group. In this leadership role, you'll serve a diverse portfolio of real estate clients while helping grow our Assurance Services practice. This is an opportunity to build trusted client relationships, lead high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional assurance services within a collaborative, entrepreneurial firm recognized for its expertise in affordable housing and other specialized real estate sectors.

Major Responsibilities

  • Lead complex assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of real estate clients, ensuring exceptional client service, audit quality, and compliance with professional standards.
  • Drive business development by building and expanding client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and cross-selling Assurance and Advisory services.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on accounting, financial reporting, auditing, and regulatory matters affecting the real estate industry.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop professionals while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • Work across service lines to deliver integrated solutions that meet clients' evolving business needs.
  • Help shape the strategic direction, growth, and market leadership of RubinBrown's Real Estate Assurance Services group.
  • Represent RubinBrown through industry involvement, thought leadership, and professional networking to strengthen the firm's brand and expand its presence in the real estate market.


Preferred Experience / Background / Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • Extensive public accounting experience with progressive leadership in Assurance Services.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex assurance engagements and serving clients in the real estate industry.
  • Experience serving clients in affordable housing, LIHTC, historic tax credits, renewable energy, Opportunity Zones, or other specialized real estate sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proven track record of business development, executive-level client relationship management, and practice growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills.


Working Conditions

  • Typical office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Hybrid work model with 2-3 days per week in-office.
  • Ability to work extra hours as determined by workload and client expectations.
  • Travel is dependent upon office location, business need, and client expectations.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout office.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 30-50 pounds.
