Job Description

Join us as a Recruitment Strategy Manager and lead the development and execution of strategic participant recruitment campaigns that help clinical studies achieve enrollment goals. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert in recruitment strategy, bringing together data, marketing, operational insights, and cross-functional collaboration to develop innovative, effective, and financially sound recruitment solutions.

What You'll Do:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in patient recruitment strategy, providing strategic guidance across studies and therapeutic area portfolios.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive recruitment marketing strategies, including audience targeting, creative approach, campaign planning, channel selection, and budget management.
  • Analyze recruitment and campaign performance to identify trends, optimize strategies, and drive delivery against enrollment targets.
  • Identify recruitment risks and opportunities and develop proactive, data-informed solutions to improve study performance.
  • Manage recruitment marketing budgets, evaluate ROI, and identify opportunities to optimize spend and improve cost efficiency.
  • Partner across recruitment, operations, marketing, community engagement, and other functional teams to align strategy and support effective execution.
  • Build strong relationships with internal leaders and stakeholders to promote collaboration, consistency, innovation, and operational excellence across the portfolio.
  • Maintain awareness of participant profiles, therapeutic areas, market dynamics, competitor activity, and industry trends to inform recruitment strategy.
  • Develop recruitment insights, metrics, and strategic recommendations to support sponsor discussions, proposals, bid defenses, and project escalations.


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic or vocational qualification.
  • Typically 5+ years of relevant experience, including experience within clinical research, clinical trials, or a closely related environment.
  • Experience developing or supporting patient recruitment, recruitment marketing, clinical trial marketing, study strategy, or related initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting clinical trial protocols and applying an understanding of patient populations, eligibility criteria, and therapeutic areas to recruitment or study-delivery strategies.
  • Experience using data and analytics to evaluate performance and inform strategic decisions.
  • In some cases, an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong clinical and medical acumen with the ability to interpret study protocols, eligibility criteria, disease characteristics, and patient pathways to inform effective recruitment strategies.
  • Ability to interpret complex clinical and protocol information to identify relevant patient populations, targeting opportunities, and actionable recruitment strategies aligned with study objectives.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate study requirements, participant insights, data, and business objectives into effective recruitment strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze recruitment and marketing performance data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize campaign performance and recruitment outcomes.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost analysis, ROI evaluation, and optimization of marketing spend.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to provide functional leadership and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong planning, project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Working Conditions and Environment:
  • Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.


Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Moderate mobility required.
  • Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
  • Ability to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Frequently interacting with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups both internally & externally.
  • Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues. Requires multiple periods of intense concentration.
  • Performs a wide range of complex tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multi-task.
